Tbilisi State University (TSU)

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is a public research university established on 8 February 1918 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Excluding academies and theological seminaries, which have intermittently functioned in Georgia for centuries, TSU is the oldest university in Georgia and the Caucasus region. Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is one of Georgia's first and most respected scientific-research institutions and carries out about 200 local and international scientific grant programs annually.

 Tbilisi State University, or TSU, is one of the largest higher educational institutions, with approximately 22,000 students studying in seven faculties. Along with Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs, the university implements higher vocational education courses and short- and long-term certification programs. Working in close cooperation with foreign universities, Georgian students can participate in exchanges and joint international educational programs to earn double academic degrees.
